NBA 5 UNITED PARIS 2011   

NBA 5 United Tour is a grassroots event combining outdoor 5-on-5 tournaments with pick-up games and interactive basketball elements. The event taking place at the Place de l’Hôtel de Ville Paris hosted 64 teams with total of 412 pre-registered players and about 80.000 spectators at the two-day event.

NBA 3X Summer Tour 2012 Italy

NBA 3X is the new global platform celebrating the game of basketball and bringing the NBA across Italy! Each of the six 2012 tour stopps will bring you 3on3 basketball and exclusive NBA entertainment all weekend. Current Players such as Danilo Gallinari and James Harden will watch you play the ball. Besides them NBA Legend Derryl aka. 'Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins as well as the Suns Dancers will have presence on site. The 3on3 tournament play will take place on both saturday and sunday with divisions based on age and gender and tons of city bragging rights to be won.

 


NBA Fan Zone - Europe Live 2012

During the NBA Europe Live 2012 presence of the Dallas Mavericks and the Boston Celtics the NBA organized Fan Zones to celebrate the game of Basketball with its fans. expema helped to manage three different projects during the first week of October, 2012. The NBA Fan Zone at Potsdamer Platz and NBA Cares court-reopening at Mellowpark in Berlin, Germany as well as the NBA Fan Zone at Piazza del Duomo in Milan, Italy. All events were packed with thrilling NBA action and the presence of NBA Legends, NBA talents, NBA Dance Teams and Mascots and at the Mellowpark in Berlin the NBA commissioner David Stern.

DBB 3X3 Open 

In it's second year the DBB 3x3 Open has seen four qualifier tournaments (Leipzig, Nuremberg, Dusseldorf, Bremen) and one special event in Frankfurt plus the German Final taking place in front of iconic O2 World in Berlin.

All winning teams in different age categories have booked their ticket to the National Finals to fight for the title "German Champion in 3on3 Basketball 2013"

expema helped on logistical, marketing & promotion and moderation sides of the event.

KICKZ together with BEKO presented a one-of-a-kind 3on3 Basketball Tournament in Berlin. With a downtown location ('Alte Münze Berlin'), 5 Courts, DJs, Burgeramt BBQ and lots of Basketball action this event was something not to miss in 2013.

 

The winner of All Star male category took home 2.000 EUR cash.

 

expema as full service event management agency for KICKZ started from scratch to create a unique basketball atmosphere throughout the two-day event. All angles of the event were delivered and managed by expema.

NBA 3X Paris 2013

NBA 3X is the league's global grassroots event program. It combines a competitive 3on3 basketball tournament with free interactive basketball activities, including the adidas Skills Challenge Court and Foot Locker Pop-a-Shot machines.

In 2013 NBA 3X visited 31 cities in 13 countries on 5 continents and seen over 13k men and woman registered and over 1M attended fans. 

 

As the NBA's event management agency in Germany and France expema helped to make this event a huge success. With a 'sold out' 3on3 tournament, Carlos Boozer appearances on both event days, 18.000 attending people and over 50.000 event impressions the NBA was more than happy with the NBA 3X Paris.

 

expema assisted the NBA on different angles of the event such as marketing and media, City of Paris and venue management, event staff, tournament organization and local event services.

Due to our strong local network and a partner agency expema helped the NBA to understand and stay in-line with local rules and regulations.

ING-DiBa #shutupandplay Berlin 2014

The ING-DiBa #shutupandplay Berlin 2014 is in the books and let me tell you something - 'streetball at the highest level in Germany is back!' After years without any high-class tournament we set the stage for a long-lasting project.

Berlin as the first start was awesome, pure sunshine, 25.000 people on both days, first class DJ team and 101 teams in four categories. The #shutupandplay dunking world championship on Sunday afternoon was an one-of-a-kind slam dunk show in Germany. The winner took home 7.000 EUR.

expema as the event management & logistical agency and local organizer helped to keep the flow of the tournament & event. We did provide everything needed for a perfect 3on3 basketball weekend. Thanks to our partners KICKZ AG and Sky Media Network this event was a blast. CU again in 2015!

ING-DiBa 3X3 Open 

With a new name the ING-DiBa 3X3 Open are going into the next round. Four cities did see a qualifier event, Hamburg, Nuremberg, Cologne and Leipzig.

The German Final was held in front of the O2 World in Berlin.

The tour almost doubled their teams and has seen a lot of highlight 3X3 basketball.

Congratulation to the new German 3X3 Basketball Champions.

NBA GLOBAL GAMES Berlin 2014

With the five-time and reigning NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs visiting the O2 World in Berlin and play a friendly match against Alba Berlin the National Basketball Association used that opportunity to celebrate the game of Basketball with their fans in Berlin / Germany.

expema as the event management agency for the NBA in Germany took over Potsdamer Platz and installed a 450 sqm roof top to give the NBA a home for their high profile court and gaming areas.

NBA 3X Paris 2014

Presented by beIN SPORTS the NBA 3X went back to Paris, France in August 2014. The event offered players, interested and fans an intensive basketball experience. Heart of the event was an 3on3 Basketball Tournament for all categories. 

World Champion and two-time Slam Dunk Contest Winner Dominique Wilkins came out to support the players and fans in Paris.

As the local organizer expema together with its Lyon, France based partner agency Com'Over has been responsible for securing the venue, deal with City hall and local suppliers as well as promotion and tournament organization.

 

Hyundai All-New  Tucson Preview 

As a freelance event manager working for Innocean, the in-house marketing agency for Kia and Hyundai Motors based in Frankfurt,  we have been part to create concept, budget and execute the media preview of the Hyundai All-New Tucson. This event designed for 400 international motor journalists took place at ewerk Berlin four weeks ahead of the international presentation of that car at the Geneva Motor Show 2015.

 

Together with the experts of well-decorated event agency Vok Dams this event has been a blast and clearly started a new era of presenting new cars to the media / public at Hyundai in Europe.

 

30 years of Jordan Brand, Paris 2015

Jordan brand has taken over the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, rebranded and renamed it to the 'Palais 23' as museum of sorts dedicated to all things related to His Airness.

From June 12-14 the Palais 23 hosted a consumer experience showcasing the Jordan family of athletes as well as commemorating the history, development and greatest moments to have fueled the Air Jordan.

 

expema was invited to deliver the Spalding hoops for the exhibition inside the Palais 23 as well as setting up two full-court basketball courts at the outside to host coaching clinics, open play and 3x3 tournaments.

DBB 3X3 open 2015

The German Basketball Federation (DBB) held it's annual official German Championship in the sport of 3X3 in Berlin. In front of the rebranded Mercedes Benz Arena Berlin more than 30 teams fought for the 2015 championship title. expema as a long-term partner for the DBB was part of that event with assisting in equipment allocation, logistical management and moderating the event.

ING-DiBa #SHUTUPANDPLAY 2015

Germany's Number-One Streetball Tournament went into it's third season in 2015. 3 Cities, 3 Qualifier and one finals event held in Berlin in July 2015.

 

With more than 380 teams registered for the three-stop tour we had a fantastic 3on3 tournament with high class German Finals in Berlin. Plus additional highlights such as the 'express your style' dance battle and the #SHUTUPANDPLAY Dunking World Championship with 10.000 EUR on the line.

 

expema as the full-service agency for the #SHUTUPANDPLAY organizers we execute all logistical, staffing, branding, venue management and tournament management parts of the tournament. On top of that we are assisting in concept creation, budgeting and partner relation for the tour.

Turkish Airlines EUROLEAGUE FANZONE Berlin 2016

Maybe the biggest Basketball event ever held in Europe. Planned, budgeted and realized by expema.

With a parade of fun-filled activities, the 2016 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Fanzone not only produced some memorable moments, but also drew a constant stream of fans throughout Final Four weekend in Berlin. Located at the famous Alexanderplatz in the German capital, just three S-Bahn train stops away from the Mercedes-Benz Arena, the Fanzone was once again a massive success. From the time it opened its doors on Friday morning until closing on Sunday evening, the Fanzone saw nearly one million visitors. Although the weather did not always cooperate, fans never ceased to gather and celebrate, with the busiest day being Saturday when some 450,000 visitors packed the square.

With more to see and do than ever before, the Fanzone had something for everyone. Euroleague partners Turkish Airlines, Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, adidas, Dogous Group, Spalding, Intersport, EA7 Emporio Armani, EFES and local powerhouse Alba Berlin among others, offered loads of fun activities, as well as a variety of games and contests to choose from.

EUROLEAGUE ONE TEAM Court Refurbishment

The one-month countdown to the 2016 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four in Berlin was celebrated in a unique way on Monday, with One Team and Stay in the Game collaborating on a court refurbishment in the German capital.

 

The event marked the third such court refurbishment ceremony in the last month since Euroleague Basketball and partner Dogus Group joined forces with their corporate social responsibility programmes One Team and Stay in the Game, respectively. After the collaboration started with a One Team-Stay in the Game educational programme clinic in Istanbul, then moved to open courts at two locations in Athens, the Final Four host city on Monday became the latest venue where the One Team-Stay In the Game initiative gives children a better environment in which to use basketball to positively affect their lives.

 

expema as the event management and consulting partner for the EUROLEAGUE in Germany not only helped to make this opening ceremony a huge success but also managed to refurbish the existing basketball court at the GRUNDSCHULE AM TELTOWKANAL in Berlin Neukölln within record time. It only took us aight weeks to fully rework the court including court surroundings, sports flooring, basketball structures and more.

 

We are proud to deliver this beauty to the kids in Berlin Neukölln and been part of that fantastic project.

Surrounded by the 25th anniversary celebration of the German Reunification Day in Frankfurt we hosted an exclusive ING-DiBa #SHUTUPANDPLAY SPECIAL. High profile 3X3 tournament with a total of 3.000 EUR prize money, 50 feet iPad challenge and dunking, freestyle as well as entertainment acts from across Europe put the cherry on the cake, the 2015 outdoor event season.

SNEAKERNESS MADNESS 2016 - COLOGNE

WE ARE ABOUT TO START A LEGACY!

 

SNEAKERNESS Madness 2016 presented by Crep Protect and Foot Locker is an 3X3 basketball tournament taking place as part of SNEAKERNESS Cologne for the first time. Over the course of two days 24 teams did battle on the half court in two one-day competitions to win the grand prize of €1,000 per day.

 

Expema as the logistical service provider and event and sports management agency behind this project is looking very much forward to deliver more and more SNEAKERNES Madness events throughout Europe in the near future.
